25th March (8pm): ‘An Introduction to Wine & Wine Tasting’ Online Tasting Event

£45.00

Join us (online) at 8pm on Thursday 25th March for an ‘Introduction to Wine and Wine Tasting’!

Absolutely no prior wine knowledge required – this will be a relaxed and informal tasting with a maximum of twelve households participating, to allow for more interaction – and we will be tasting and discussing six completely different wines from our shelves and offering an insight into the decisions and processes that have shaped the wine in your glass.

During the tasting, we will taste a range of fabulous wines including two very different white wines, a rosé, two reds made in very different ways, and most likely finishing with a delicious, sticky sweet wine. We will discuss and consider how each wine is made, and talk about things like climate, oak-aging, the use of colour in rosé wines, how different sweet wines are made, and understanding what confusing terms like ‘Crianza’, ‘Reserva’ and ‘Apassimento’ mean! Perhaps you will also find a new favourite…!

The tasting is priced at £45 per household, and you just need to collect your tasting samples from the shop on the day (or we can deliver locally!). The samples will be provided in screw-top glass carafes that we kindly ask you to return to the shop over the following weekend – for re-use. The samples are all 175ml, and will be of premium wines from our shelves that are all priced roughly between £10 and £20.

Please do drop into the shop if you have any questions. We’ll look forward to seeing you there!
